Ever heard of ribbon swatch rings? They take a lot of work to make but
they are worth it in the end. If you sell ribbon products in
boutiques--you need to make a set of these. If you allow your customers
to make custom selections--you need to make a set of these. If you make
M2M items, you can take your rings with you to the store to make a
perfect match on the spot.
Right
now, the templates only contain color tabs for Ribbon and Bows Oh My! If we
receive requests for others, we will add them as we get time.
The
tabs are designed so that there are two for each color; one for the
front and one for the back. You may use just one side if you wish. You
will also need large binder rings to finish this project.
How to use the templates:
- Download and unzip the zipped file.
- Print out the charts you need. You can print them on cardstock or any paper of your choice.
- Use
a paper cutter or scissors to cut on the lines for perfect square tabs.
You can also use a circle punch if you'd prefer a rounded shape.
- Place your ribbon between the two tabs and staple it together.
- Punch a hole in the top of your tab. You can use hole reinforcers if you wish.
- Slide it onto your binder ring.
Having
a hard time picturing this? Think of the rings that counter top samples
come on or pantyhose samples or even hair color samples. You may have
seen paper or fabric samples like this at your local hobby store. They
are fantastic and well worth the time it takes to put them together.
If you make a set with our template and send us a photo we'll post it here along with a link to your website.
